티라노사우루스 Tyrannosaurus AMNH 5027

Sumeru Studio commissioned me to create a new Tyrannosaurus rex and I have completed the modeling. He is the famous AMNH 5027, and will be released this year. More information on scale, price and availability will be released soon.

I didn’t per se set out to make a T.Rex look like Brad Pitt. That would be a terrible idea, but I wanted a “ good looking male with confidence” archetype and that picture fit. Most cues were in some wrinkles around the eyes and the shape of the corner of the mouth. The skull shape of AMNH 5027 took precedence to Brad. I just like using an actor or an animal as extra inspiration. The skull only goes so far.

Some Patholigs and Wounds for Character

AMNH has a big gash across the nasal. Face biting wounds. Teeth marks on throat - a close call!

AMNH has broken and fused vertebrae mid trunk. Various scratches across the body.

AMNH is missing the distal end of the tail, so I made a big bite there.
