This is a hollow resin casting of the head and neck from a 1/5 scale full body T.rex I made over two decades ago, and my intention was to blend the seam lines, make a few minor alterations and paint it and who knows, I might actually get to it when my current project is done. Then again, where have I heard that before?
These T.rex busts were done a quite few years ago, developed from a 1/10 scale full body sculpture originally done for a mid west Natural History Museum display, the name of which escapes me right now. I'll see if I can find a few pictures of the full sculpture and post them too.
This 1:10 model of Tyrannosaurus rex, originally made for a museum in 1998. It will be on display at Wondercon March 29-31 (Anaheim, CA). The artist has no current plans to put this piece back into production.
Here's the painted 4' version, its pose based on the 1/30 scale garage kit I made in the early '90s.
